Ruscus (Danea racemosa)

Ruscus L., 1753 is a genus of flowering plant placed/classified into the Liliaceae family (Asparagaceae according to APG classification system), to which other seven species belong, mainly of European origin. The species belonging to this genus are perennial and evergreen shrub-like plants, usually with leathery and fibrous leaves. Some of them produce berries with a garish color, usually red, while others present a modest inflorescence and small fruits. Its Italian translation is Rusco.
